Become a Foster Parent with Furry Haven

At Furry Haven, we rely on the compassion and dedication of foster families to provide loving care for our animals until they find their forever homes. Whether you're interested in fostering a dog or a cat, we have a simple and structured process to get you started.

What We Require to Become a Foster

To begin your fostering journey, there are a few important steps we need you to complete:

Complete Rescue Training

You are required to complete both the Feline Rescue Training and Canine Rescue Training through Maddie's Fund. These training courses will equip you with the knowledge and skills to provide the best care for the animals you’re fostering.

Submit Your Certificates

After completing both training courses, please send your certificates of completion to fosterwithus@furry-haven.com. Be sure to include your full name along with a copy of the front and back of your driver’s license.

Home Visit Scheduling

After submitting your certificates and required documents, we will review your application. Allow up to 72 hours for us to contact you. We will then schedule a Zoom call or in-person meeting for a home visit to ensure that your home is a safe and suitable environment for fostering.

Please note that while we appreciate all applications, not all applicants will be selected to foster, and not all animals will be available for fostering. Our goal is to ensure the best match between foster families and animals.
