Furry Haven Inc. is a sanctuary for animals, providing a loving and safe refuge until they find their forever homes. Located in Newport News, VA, our small, home-based rescue ensures that no animal suffers in shelters. We believe in placing animals in foster homes where they can thrive with care and attention. From dogs to reptiles, birds to livestock, every creature at Furry Haven receives the love and support they deserve.
Our Services
Our services extend beyond rescue and adoption. We offer animal training, pet sitting, dog walking, and even homestead sitting to ensure pets and their owners have the best care available.
Animal Adoption
We help connect loving families with animals in need of homes. From dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, and pocket animals, our adoption process ensures each animal finds the right fit.
Dogs and Cats Come With:
* Spay or neuter surgery * (for animals of appropriate age and weight; please call for details)
* Microchip for permanent identification
* Core vaccinations appropriate for age
* Heartworm testing (for dogs of testing age)
* FIV/FELV testing (for cats of testing age)
* Deworming treatment
* Flea and tick prevention
* Heartworm prevention
Foster Care
All animals in our care are placed in loving foster homes where they are nurtured until they are ready for adoption.
Training Services
We provide private training for dogs, including service dog training, obedience, and behavior correction, tailored to your pet's needs.
Animal Rescue
Our rescue efforts extend to a variety of species, including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, poultry, small livestock, and pocket animals.
